Castello Vicchiomaggio

Stopped for lunch on drive to Siena. Very beautiful and scenic views around the grounds. Walked around for 30 minutes and then had lunch. Wait staff was patient and kitchen staff accommodated our request. Wine selection was awesome- enjoyed the Chianti Classico -7 Euro per glass. The fresh breads - delicious. The pumpkin soup with goats cheese was mouth watering. You get what you pay for. The 3 homemade white chocolate drops w/raspberry made you want more.

We have been here for lunch and to purchase wine. It was our first time for dinner and what an amazing experience! Just like lunch our dinner was exceptional. The food, service, wine and the surroundings cannot be beat. As with each visit, whether in the wine shop or the restaurant the quality of products and the enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff really set the stage for a wonderful evening. Thank you Franco for your attention. Can’t wait to return.

We had a wonderful stay at Castello Vicchiomaggio earlier this month in November! Everyone we interacted with from the front desk, to restaurant to wine tour was incredibly friendly. The views from the property are stunning, and it's just a short drive to Greve. The food in the restaurant and the Chianti Classico produced onsite are excellent as well! We'd definitely recommend Castello Vicchiomaggio and are looking forward to staying again!

From the breathtaking views to the impeccable wine, Vicchiomaggio was a pure delight! During our 3-night stay, we indulged in the wine tasting offerings and enjoyed the premium wines. We enjoyed Supertuscans and gran selezione quality. We were pleased to see how John, the owner, was heavily involved in the daily operations. Thanks for the memories!

We booked Vicchiomaggio for our wedding site unseen and it could not have been a better choice for us. When we arrived at the venue, we were completely blown away by the amazing views and the beautiful buildings of the villa. Sandra met us and was incredibly friendly, helpful and thorough going over the details of our day with us. You can tell they really cared and wanted to make the day as special as they could for us. All of our guests could not stop gushing about how this was the most beautiful stop of their trip and how amazing the food was! Vineyard wise, the wine was delicious. We had several guests go on tastings and buy multiple bottles of wine because it was so good. We ourselves will be buying more and having it shipped to us. From a hotel perspective, the restaurant and breakfast were amazing, the rooms were so comfortable, spacious and old world beautiful. All the staff always greeted you with a smile and the infinity pool was crazy beautiful. They also went above and beyond for one of our wedding guests who had to do an incredibly late check in due to a missed flight. I recommend staying here and know that we will be back for an anniversary trip in the future. Definitely make Vicchiomaggio a stop on your next trip!
